Strategies For Employment Webcast
Tools and Resources
Thank you for joining us for the Strategies for Employment Webcast. Below is a list of actionable tips, links and resources relevant to the topics discussed. We hope you find this information useful.
3 TIPS TO TAKE ACTION AFTER THE WEBCAST
- Start to build employment skills early. Home is a great place to practice things like task completion, such as setting an alarm and getting up independently, which can create confidence and self-esteem.
- Set an expectation that your family member will gain employment. Create a family culture in which everyone is expected to go to school, do household chores and get a job.
- Investigate various employment supports that are available. Connections vary, so research which one will best suit your employment goals and supports like resume building, practice interviews and job coaching.
