THREE TIPS TO TAKE ACTION AFTER THE WEBCAST

Benefits2 Disability Tax Credit Tool
Benefits2 provides an online tool to help people with disabilities and their medical practitioners to complete the Disability Tax Credit Application.


CRA Disability Tax Credit
The disability tax credit (DTC) is a non-refundable tax credit that helps people with disabilities, or their supporting family member, reduce the amount of income tax they may have to pay.

 
Disability Alliance BC Disability Tax Credit Tool
DABC and Access RDSP have created a tool individuals can use to assist their medical practitioner with completing their Disability Tax Credit application. 

 
Free DTC Application Support
P4P's Service Navigation page highlights community-based, non-profit organizations that provide free, one-on-one support to help people apply for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC), the Canada Disability Benefit, and other related federal, provincial or territorial programs. Check out this page for a list of organizations and how to access their navigation services.

T2201 Disability Tax Credit Application
To apply for the DTC, you must complete and submit the T2201 Disability Tax Credit Form, which must be certified by a medical practitioner.

OTHER LINKS & RESOURCES

You can apply for the Canada Disability Benefit (CDB) online, in person at a Service Canada Centre, or by phone at 1-833-486-3007. Before applying, be sure to have your social insurance number (SIN), direct deposit information, and your eligibility letter from Service Canada. If you did not receive a letter, you will also need your mailing address and net income (line 23600) from your 2024 notice of assessment for your application.

Intro to the RDSP
