Community Living Ontario Launches a Guide for Students, Parents and Caregivers

In fall 2025, Community Living Ontario launched a virtual guide for people with disabilities and their families. Developed by lawyers at PooranLaw Professional Corporation, the guide provides a legal overview and introduces some of the common issues parents and students with disabilities face in the Ontario public education system.

Spanning eight chapters, the guide covers essential topics like Individual Education Plans (IEPs), the Identification, Placement and Review Committee (IPRC), and the Ontario Human Rights Code. It also explores the core legislation and policies that shape schools across the province.
