FASD Ontario Website and FASD Family/Caregiver Support Groups 

On April 1, 2026, Partners for Planning (P4P) will assume responsibility for delivering the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Family and Caregiver Support Groups program and for maintaining the bilingual FASD Ontario website.

 

To ensure you stay connected to the FASD Family and Caregiver Support Groups program and the FASD Ontario website, please subscribe to the FASD Email List. This way, you won't miss any updates, announcements, and important program information.

Below, you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions along with other helpful information, so you can feel confident that the resources and services you rely on will continue seamlessly with uninterrupted access.

1.What is the reason for this transition?

This transition follows Health Nexus's closure at the end of March 2026. Health Nexus will continue to deliver these services until the end of March.

 

2. Will families and caregivers continue to have access to the FASD Ontario website?

Yes. Families and caregivers will have uninterrupted access to the existing FASD Ontario website.

 

3. Will the FASD Ontario website be moving to the Planning Network?

No. The FASD Ontario website and link will remain entirely separate from the Planning Network. You can continue to access the site using the same link as always.

 

4. Will the FASD Ontario website content change?

No. The FASD Ontario website will continue to provide:

  • A directory of Ontario programs, services, and supports

  • Training, education opportunities, and webcasts for multiple sectors

  • Current research and evidence-informed intervention strategies

 

5. Will families and caregivers experience service interruptions to the FASD Family/Caregiver Support Groups?

No. Families and caregivers will not experience service interruptions. P4P will issue a call for support group proposals later this year.

 

7. I am already subscribed to P4P emails. Will I automatically get registered for FASD Ontario-related emails? 

No. Sign up for our FASD Email list to stay connected to the FASD Family and Caregiver Support Groups program and the bilingual FASD Ontario website. This way, you won't miss any updates, announcements, and important program information. You may unsubscribe at any time.

 

8. Will there be changes to the FASD Family/Caregiver Support Group eligibility criteria?

No. The eligibility criteria will remain the same as outlined in the ministry’s existing Service Objectives.

 

9. How many FASD Family/Caregiver Support Groups will be funded?

A minimum of 40 FASD Family/Caregiver Support Groups will continue to be funded, consistent with the ministry’s existing Service Objectives.

 

10. Will there be changes to the FASD Family/Caregiver Support Group application process?

No. The FASD Family/Caregiver Support Group application process will remain consistent with the ministry’s existing Service Objectives.

 

11. How will families and caregivers locate FASD Family/Caregiver Support Groups?

The FASD Ontario website will remain active and continue to include a directory of FASD Family/Caregiver Support Groups across the province.

 

12. Will reporting requirements change for the FASD Family/Caregiver Support Groups and the FASD Ontario website?

Up-to-date information on reporting can be found in the ministry’s Service Objectives.
