Canada Caregiver Credit

The Canada Caregiver Credit is a non-refundable tax credit for individuals who care for dependents or a spouse/common-law partner with physical or mental impairments. The credit can be used to reduce the amount of tax you owe and can be claimed on your tax return.

 

Medical Expense Tax Credit

Find out which medical expenses can be claimed using the non-refundable tax credit.

Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy

There are supports through non-profits like the Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy. Visit their resource page to see the funding programs and other supports available.

 

Muscular Dystrophy Canada

Funding support is also available through Muscular Dystrophy Canada. They offer a range of funding programs to people and families with cerebral palsy.

Free DTC Application Support

P4P's Service Navigation page highlights community-based, non-profit organizations that offer free, one-on-one support for those applying for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC), the Canada Disability Benefit, and other related federal, provincial or territorial programs. 

 

The Disability Tax Credit

The DTC is a non-refundable tax credit that helps people with a disability, or those who support them, to reduce the amount of income tax they have to pay.  

 

The Registered Disability Savings Plan

The RDSP is a made-in-Canada long-term savings vehicle for people with disabilities.
